Bajofondo es, de acuerdo al grupo, un “colectivo de compositores, cantantes y artistas”. Empezaron a tocar juntos bajo el nombre de Bajofondo Tango Club con una fuerte influencia de tango pero poco a poco su sonido se hizo diferente y más ecléctico.
