Our hostess, Ana Maria Peters Verdugo, a barista and manager at the Baja Beans Café in Pescadero, Baja California, shares with us a few of the company's secrets for roasting their beans and preparing quality coffee beverages.

Formed in 1989, Latin Grammy-winning Mexican music group Café Tacvba has garnered an international following over their long career. Originally influenced by eighties alternative rock, their incorporation of such diverse genres as traditional Mexican, ska, punk, funk, electronic, new wave, and more has contributed to their constant evolution, making it impossible for critics to place them into any one stylistic box.

Edgar Huerta, tecladista de Belanova, usa la palabra “cuate” para referirse a Joselo, integrante de Café Tacuba. Esta palabra es muy interesante ya que proviene del nahuatl coatl, que significa “gemelo” y es usado en México (especialmente en el Distrito Federal) como sinónimo de “amigo”.

Joselo Rangel es oriundo de Minatitlan, Puerto de Veracruz. Estudió en la UAM Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana la Ciudad de México, lugar donde formó con tres amigos la legendaria banda Café Tacuba. “Sobriedad” es una canción que forma parte de uno de sus albumes como solista.
