Pepe Aguilar es un cantante de origen norteamericano cuyos padres, ambos mexicanos, fueron una leyenda de la música popular y el cine en México. Cuando tenía apenas cinco años, el pequeño Pepe hizo su debut nada más y nada menos que en el Madison Square Garden durante un concierto de su padre. Aunque él recuerda que en ese momento tuvo un poco de miedo, estamos seguros de que también lo disfruto. Desde entonces Pepe siguió acompañando a su padre en algunas de sus presentaciones hasta que inició su propia carrera como solista.

Carlos Eduardo López Ávila, known to most of the world as Jeremías, (his nombre escénico) was born in London, where his parents were studying, but he returned with them to their native Venezuela at the tender age of two. Billboard describes his music, with its blend of trova, pop, salsa and rock as mestizo (which of course usually refers to a person of mixed blood).
