Hailing from Caracas, Venezuela, the group Trabuco Contrapunto has its roots in tropical music and Afro-Latin rhythms with a Venezuelan flare. Eight-year-old María Manuela tells us a bit about herself before treating us to her rendition of one of Colombian folklore's best-known melodies, "Pueblito viejo" [Little Old Town] by composer José Alejandro Morales.

Forty-five artists from ten different countries participated in the making of the video for this wonderful song entitled "Amanecer" [Waking Up], which is dedicated to all the artists in the world who have seen their work affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

In Hello Chamo, a song by Venezuelan singer Félix Carlos, he takes us on a tour of the streets of New York as he encounters some of his fellow Venezuelans— some of them well-known— who also live in the city. The rhythm of the song is the traditional Calypso from the El Callao municipality, a festive beat that contrasts his sad narration about immigration.

Musician and songwriter, Jorge Garcia, leads the band, Suena Disco. Their single, Temblor, featuring guest artist, Itzia Aranda, incorporates electronic music from Guadalajara with a tropical flare.

The Venezuelan band, AdicoRock, invites you all to light up life's good vibes and enjoy their new single, "Préndanlo," [Light It Up] with friends. Don't miss their reggaeflow music on the major digital platforms!

Natalia Barahona is a Venezuelan artist of Chilean origin. In this video for her single, "Santo" [Saint], she merges these two cultures, singing a song from a traditional eastern Venezuelan genre while exhibiting images of Chile's representative "cueca" dance.

Natalia Barahona (Venezuela/Chile) is a singer-songwriter with many years of experience in musical genres ranging from folklore to modern. Her work is recognized on alternative networks in America and Europe, such as Bandcamp and Spotify.

Claudia Montoya shares with Yabla her most recent single, "Volverte a abrazar" [To Hug You Again]. Accompanied by an eclectic group of artists from Germany, Argentina, Cuba, Chile, Japan, Spain, and Peru, Montoya describes rhythmically this period of quarantine and her desire to return to normality.

Venezuelan rock/pop group, Mochuelo, won the prestigious 2005 "Festival Nuevas Bandas" [New Band Festival], an important Latin American music industry event. This time, they delight us with their “pandemic version” of one of their most famous songs: "La caja" [The Box].

Juan Bautista López, a.k.a. Yátu, is considered one of the forefathers of Venezuelan rock and has been an important influence for many Latin American artists. Originally from Venezuela, Eduardo Cedeño, a.k.a. Tatobox, is a New York-based composer, musician, and producer with a long career in alternative rock. In his song, "Plastic," which promotes global ecological awareness, Tatobox is accompanied by the "cuatro," a typical instrument from his country. Enjoy more of his work on social media.

Zoom Soon Bao is Venezuelan musician Andres Moncada Frometa's solo project. Mixing elements of traditional Venezuelan music with electronic rhythms, ZSB portrays the simultaneous chaos and beauty in many Latin American countries. The song, "Al norte del sur" [To the North of the South], is an ode to the crude life in Venezuela's capital, Caracas.
