Zoom Soon Bao is Venezuelan musician Andres Moncada Frometa's solo project. Mixing elements of traditional Venezuelan music with electronic rhythms, ZSB portrays the simultaneous chaos and beauty in many Latin American countries. The song, "Al norte del sur" [To the North of the South], is an ode to the crude life in Venezuela's capital, Caracas.

Juan Bautista López, a.k.a. Yátu, is considered one of the forefathers of Venezuelan rock and has been an important influence for many Latin American artists. Venezuelan rock/pop group, Mochuelo, won the prestigious 2005 "Festival Nuevas Bandas" [New Band Festival], an important Latin American music industry event. This time, they delight us with their “pandemic version” of one of their most famous songs: "La caja" [The Box].

"Indeleble" is the title track from the Venezuelan rock band, Los Mesoneros' 2011 album of the same name.

We have the debut music video from La Vida Bohème -- an Indy, punkish Venezuelan band with a bit of French in its name. Playing on roof tops in Caracas, the band delivers a subversive song in just a few words. And then they are kidnapped. "Viva la résistance," says the writing on the wall (also dropping in a bit of French). This is one band worth following.

People often say that Símon Bolívar, aka El Libertador, is to the people of Venezuela what George Washington is to the people of the United States. Carlos Eduardo López Ávila, known to most of the world as Jeremías, (his nombre escénico) was born in London, where his parents were studying, but he returned with them to their native Venezuela at the tender age of two. Billboard describes his music, with its blend of trova, pop, salsa and rock as mestizo (which of course usually refers to a person of mixed blood).
