Founded by Elizabeth Svendsen, the Donkey Sanctuary takes in donkeys and mules that have been abused or abandoned. In this series, we’ll take a closer look at this refuge, expanding our knowledge about donkeys' behavior, diets, and personalities as well as the shelter’s volunteer program. There’s even a charity shop to help out with the sanctuary’s expenses!
