In the second part of YABLA’s exclusive interview, Bunbury opens up and tells us about the creative process behind his music.

We had the chance to interview Spanish superstar Enrique Bunbury about his music, his art. The former Héroes del Silencio lead singer has been enjoying a successful solo career since 1996. Now he’s promoting his most recent album, Las consecuencias, which couldn’t be more different from his previous album.

Here’s the second part of the interview with Goy of Karamelo Santo. They are among the leaders of their home country’s independent music scene (Argentina). All their records were self produced—the major labels just weren’t interested in a band which plays free shows for the unemployed and pokes fun at the international monetary fund.

Goy plays guitar and sings for Karamelo Santa, one of the best ska bands in Latin America. Argentina is the band’s homeland (they are practically from the Pampas). But the 7 boys with wild hair and wild songs do not sing around a Gaucho campfire; their sound reverberates in the world’s largest cities.

Gonzalo is a Peruvian painter living in Germany. We had a great opportunity to visit him and talk about his life. Before learning about his work, let’s listen to the amazing tale of how he met his wife.

David Bisbal knows there can be more to being a star than filling stadiums and getting underwear thrown at him: He is a spokesman for child soldiers. That is to say, he raises awareness and money to try to end the use of minors in wars. In this segment, we see him take this commitment to the stage.

These three sisters, known on stage as Son del Sol, are representative of what is called Nuevo Flamenco (Contemporary Flamenco), where the classic sounds bump into other genres. The star of this song is a girl called Natividad (literally, Nativity) who goes to Cuba for some of the Caribbean’s charms. Like the music itself, the tale blends the Old World and the New.
